Before clicking « Like » or sharing a photograph of an animal, one must ask or verify whether such a capture, especially in the wild, could truly have been achieved with minimal impact on wildlife and without causing stress to the animal. To achieve their goals, some photographers sometimes place « subjects » in refrigerators to make them more docile, tie them up, bind them, lacerate them, or dismember them to facilitate photo shoots. When in doubt, it is better to refrain in order not to encourage or be an involuntary accomplice to this cruelty.

Note that this kind of highly questionable practice is also carried out on large animals.
