59. Is it not more ethical to raise and slaughter a single cow?

This confuses a voluntary app with an accident. Killing an animal for consumption is a deliberate and premeditated act whose direct purpose is to take a life, whereas deaths related to plant cultivation are unintentional accidents. Furthermore, raising livestock is neither viable nor sustainable for everyone: if everyone wanted to eat meat this way, there would not be enough land or resources to sustain it in a very short time. Finally, it perpetuates the idea that animals are resources for humans, which justifies and fuels the existence of industrial animal agriculture.
