It is not because there are other important causes that it is morally acceptable to exploit non-human animals for food, clothing, entertainment, or product testing.
Wars, famine, and injustices ARE NOT MITIGATED by the funding of these abuses. Furthermore, livestock farming requires more land and resources, which worsens the food shortage for humans dying of hunger.
Indeed, animal exploitation generates heavy human suffering: cardiovascular diseases, certain cancers, antibiotic resistance linked to the massive use of drugs in farming, zoonotic pandemics, psychological trauma, and high suicide rates among slaughterhouse workers, not to mention pollution and resource waste. By eliminating animal production, we could properly feed all the hungry people on the planet.
